In Oct. 1938, radio star Orson Welles thrust West Windsor's "Grovers Mill" neighborhood onto the world stage as the site of a fake alien invasion. Many say his "War of the Worlds" broadcast panicked the nation. But now? We celebrate it!

Enjoy drinks/desserts and listen to the broadcast heard 'round the country! Audience participation is a tradition in this interactive annual event.

TRUNK-OR-TREAT (2-4PM @Schenck Farmstead)
Trick-or-treat in a family-friendly setting at the West Windsor History Museum. Arts/crafts, music, and more. Offered by the Historical Society of West Windsor and West Windsor Recreation and Parks. 
SUN, OCT 26
MARTIAN BIKE RIDE (10:15AM @Grovers Mill Coffee)
Enjoy a guided ride past historic sites linked to the "War of the Worlds" broadcast. Offered by the West Windsor Bicycle and Pedestrian Alliance and the Historical Society of West Windsor.
HAM RADIO STATION (12-5PM @Van Nest Park)
The Delaware Valley Radio Association will set up a station near the site of the fictional Martian landing site and communicate with other ham radio users from around the world.
HYSTERIA! OR, THEY CAME THROUGH THE AIR (4PM @West Windsor Arts)
Experience a brand-new play following the broadcast's creation and legacy. Produced by West Windsor Arts in partnership with the Historical Society of West Windsor and author A. Brad Schwartz.
